How We're Helping UK Singles Beat the Loneliness of Lockdown
Last week, it was only the North East that saw the lockdown rules tightening. Today we are hearing rumblings of a full lockdown for the next 6 months. All of winter, Christmas, New Year…… as a single person facing this, it’s pretty grim. Social interaction is imperative for our mental health and we want to help UK singles beat the loneliness of the second lockdown.
Chat to New, Like-Minded People Online Safely
Whether you’re new to online dating and feeling a little unsure, or you’ve tried the typical dating sites and have undoubtedly had a bad experience (as they let literally anyone sign up), now is the time to try a different, safer way of online dating.
We know that you are no longer allowed to socialise with people outside of your own household which means that you can’t go out on dates, but it does not mean that you need to sit at home feeling lonely and isolated. Now is the ideal time to get yourself online, make new connections, and start chatting – without the imminent pressure of a face-to-face date. You can take your time, get to know each other properly and make those dark nights a lot less lonely! Then when lockdown restrictions ease again, you’ll be a lot more confident going on that first date.
Why You Should Avoid the Typical ‘Free’ Dating Sites
There are a lot of dating sites out there to choose from, and there will be a few sites that instantly spring to your mind, but there is so much that they don’t tell you! Most dating sites do nothing at all to keep criminals from joining their sites and there are some pretty nasty horror stories out there as a result of this. If you’re looking for a serious relationship and want to avoid being inundated with messages requesting nude pictures and one night stands, it’s imperative that you do your research first and choose the right online dating site for you.
Why You Should Choose Safer Date
Safer Date does things differently. Your safety is our number one priority. Here are just some of the reasons why we’re better:
- All of our members are fully identified to ensure they are who they say they are. This gets rid of fake profiles, catfish and scam accounts.
- We offer global criminal background checks, insolvency checks and even addicts register checks for added peace of mind.
- We automatically filter out offensive messages and images.
- The app is exclusively a UK dating app, so you won’t be inundated with pointless messages from around the world.
- We offer affordable pricing for premium members with no hidden charges.
- The membership fees are the only charges on our dating app. Once approved, you are free to browse, chat, flirt and send as many messages as you like.
Safer Date is a different way of online dating for good, honest people looking for a serious relationship. We put your safety first and eliminate all fake profiles, so you’re much more likely to find someone worth talking to!
Try Safer Date Today
We want to help UK singles avoid the loneliness of lockdown safely! Sign up today and start chatting for free!
Safer Date is the ONLY dating app which puts your safety first. Everyone must pass our mandatory ID checks before they can become a member or even browse through other profiles, which means that we have no fake profiles, catfish or scam accounts on our app!
Unlike any other dating app, we also offer thorough global criminal background checks, insolvency checks and even addicts register checks for added peace of mind.
In addition to our safety features, we have implemented numerous features to provide the best online dating experience possible. We also have virtual video dating, we stop you from being bombarded by unwanted messages, we automatically filter out offensive messages and images, we tackle ghosting and we have UK support!
Safer Date provides a safer online dating experience for everyone. It is for good, honest people without a criminal background who want to meet a partner with the same qualities. As long as you fit those criteria and you are over the age of 18, you are welcome to join. Safer Date is for both heterosexuals and the LGBT community.
You can download Safer Date, sign up and chat to other members completely free (as long as you pass our ID checks).
If you would like access to background checks, unlimited messaging and additional premium features, you will need to upgrade your subscription within the app which is just £14.99 a month.
There are no other charges to use Safer Date, and we do not sell your data to anyone, nor are there any
advertisements in the app.
You can download and use Safer Date for free, but our premium membership gives you access to all of the app features for the full Safer Date experience. Premium membership costs just £14.99 per month and there are no other charges within the app.
No – Safer Date is currently a UK only dating app.
Safer Date carries out the most comprehensive, global background checks possible. We are proud to partner with an intelligence agency who work closely with the Police, Interpol, the FBI, the National Crime Agency and other intelligence agencies across the world. We also carry out insolvency checks and addicts register checks to add a further layer of security. Please note: None of these checks leave any footprint at all.
Firstly, you will need to complete the real-time ID check within the app which will only take a few minutes. Once this has been done, you will have access to your free Safer Date account. You can build your profile and start chatting to other members.
If you decide to upgrade to premium to access all of the Safer Date features, you will need to pay the relevant subscription. We will then process your background check and 95% of our checks are returned within 3 working days. We process the checks between the hours of 8am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
Unfortunately, the DBS only shows up approximately 6% of the problem as it is based on convictions only. Plus, it only shows crimes committed in the UK. Even if you already have a DBS certificate, you will still need to go through our full background checking procedure to become a premium member.
If you fail our ID checks, you will be notified within the app and you will be asked to try again. Common reasons for failing an ID check are an out of date ID document, or a poor photograph of your ID document. The image must be clear with no reflections so that we can carry out facial recognition. You will not be able to access Safer Date without a successful ID check.
If you decide to upgrade to premium and we receive notice that there is something of concern during your background checks, we will reject your premium membership and revoke your free account with immediate effect. We will not provide any details of the reason for the rejection to you or anyone else. Possible reasons for membership rejection are detailed in our terms and conditions.
Please note: If you fail the background checks, any membership fee that you have already paid is non-refundable.
Yes you can. Traffic offences won’t stop you from upgrading your Safer Date account. What will stop you is any offence of abuse or violence, whether physical, psychological or sexual, against adults, children or animals.
In short, if you have a history of toxic traits, you can’t join Safer Date.
Safer Date is designed to be a safer online dating platform. We carry out identity checks on every member before they are allowed to join. We also offer thorough, global background checks to premium members and make it very clear who has been fully checked and vetted and who has only been identified.
We can assure you that we will not allow ANY member to join our dating app if they cannot be identified and we will not let any member become a premium member if they have a serious criminal history.
However, we cannot account for any crimes that have been spent, for any crimes a member may have committed and not been caught for, for any crimes a person may commit in the future or for any negative personality traits a person may have. We can only use the information provided during the background checks. You are always responsible for your own safety and decisions and you need to decide if you are happy chatting online to someone who has not yet completed their full background check.
